Hi Jeff; Welcome to the club! In 1954, the CJ3B was still offered in addition to a new CJ5 and the Dispatcher in 2 wd. You have the 3B and it normally had one gas tank under the drivers seat. There was a crossover period for the 3B when the 4 single gauges of the previous models and speedometer gave way to the single cluster used in the CJ5. While I can't see your dash, a surplus of switches are probably aftermarket additions. It had no radio from the factory.
The basic knobs are lights, heater (if installed) choke and throttle. Id be happy to tell you more with a good picture of the dash. At any rate,I can help with any mechanical issues that you might have.

heres the dash. three red toggles on left i have no idea. also the two on the right have colored lights that come on but dont seem to do anything. the big toggle mounted on aluminium plate is left for radio and right for fuel pump from upper gas tank. thinking this maybe starts the flow? there is also a pull out knob down low. heater? choke? Starts right up with a prior pump to the pedal and idles fine......
