Military Transfer Case

Can someone help me figure out how to read the tag on my transfer case?
The tag shows


07.06.82
ser.P 05755

Any help would be greatly appriciated! Becky

Becky, I have someone working on it. I assume you are looking for the correct application for this unit?

Well I would like to sell it, but i don't want to rip myself or someone else off since I don't know what it goes to or how much to ask for it. Thank you for your help!!

That looks like the transmission assembly for a military M151 MUTT (Jeep) that replaced the CJ's and was in service untill the HMMV was introduced.
