I have a 1950's CJ5 that I am working on restoring. Unfortunately, I don't know how to correctly determine what year it is. What do I look for to find out? I believe its either a 1956, or a '58.
Thanks

John,
It will not be important which year it actually is. You 4 cyl F-head was made for 0ver 20 years and body parts will be the same throughout Willys and Kaiser production. The serial number will tell the actual year.

I dont think that the year of the jeep is required for restoring it.Good luck with the restoring.
